Account Deletion

Fin users can request deletion of their account and associated app data from inside the Fin app or by contacting support.

How to request deletion

  1. Open the Fin app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Delete account and confirm the request.

If you cannot access your account, send a deletion request to privacy@finapp.com from the email address associated with your Fin account.

Data deleted

When account deletion is processed, Fin deletes or de-identifies profile details, authentication identifiers managed by Fin, transactions, budgets, goals, categories, notes, AI chat history, notification tokens, and app preferences connected to the account.

Data retained

Some records may be retained for a limited period where required for security, fraud prevention, backup recovery, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Backup copies are removed through normal backup rotation.

Partial deletion

You can delete individual transactions, budgets, goals, groups, chat sessions, and other app records from inside Fin without deleting your entire account.
