Account Deletion
You can delete your Fin account from the app. Account deletion is permanent.
Before deleting a connected account
If you connected a bank, first open the connected-account settings and select Disconnect. This is the clearest way to stop synchronization and request revocation from the connected-account provider before deleting your Fin account.
Delete from the app
1. Open Fin and sign in. 2. Open Settings. 3. Select Delete account and confirm. If you cannot sign in, email admin@madcode.org from the address associated with your Fin account. We may ask for information necessary to verify ownership.
Information deleted
Fin deletes or de-identifies active profile and authentication data managed by Fin; transactions, budgets, goals, categories, notes, receipts, and AI chats; stored connected-account credentials; notification tokens; preferences; and records associated only with your account where deletion does not alter another user’s records.
Limited retention
Limited records may remain where reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or backup recovery. Backups and operational logs expire through controlled retention and rotation. Connected-account providers, app stores, and other providers may keep their own legally required records under their policies.
Partial deletion and export
You may delete individual supported records or export your information from Fin without deleting the entire account.
